Ukraine has introduced a video game-like system that gives soldiers points for killing or destroying. The points can then be redeemed for military equipment. “This changes the rules of war,” says the country’s digitalization minister. But one expert raises a warning finger.

Kill a Russian soldier: 6 points. Damage an armored vehicle: 20 points. To motivate soldiers at the front, Ukraine has introduced a new points system.

Kill seven Russian soldiers and get a state-of-the-art drone – that should motivate Ukrainian soldiers to knock out more Russian targets. The new bonus system being introduced in Ukraine is inspired by the gaming world. – In short, you destroy, you get the points, you buy a drone with the points, says Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

The platform presented and launched by the Ukrainian minister is called Brave 1 Market and it contains a large list of "war technology"
