Here’s what Ground News brings to our community of mindful newsreaders.
Whether you’re a news fanatic or a curious observer, Ground News keeps you informed with features that save time and reveal media bias.
Over the past few years, I’ve read increasingly less news, but I’m reading more again with Ground because it gives access to more ‘what happened’ news, without the noise of subjective analysis or opinions. Being able to browse left, center, and right sources and filter for factuality is brilliant.
I’m a firm believer that the truth always lies in between. Ground News makes it much easier to research on my own, provides much more info in aggregate, and discourages me from having a bias.
I find the bias and fact view incredible. It combats a lot of the echo chambers that occur in the news and helps me identify if I am reading from a trustworthy source. It's also interesting to see the comparisons of how stories are reported – the headlines, the content – and how they can skew to pander to each side. It has helped me identify those techniques in my day-to-day life better.
The curation of the articles is what I enjoy the most about the app. Although I do very much enjoy being able to see different articles by bias, being able to see multiple organizations and their coverage, especially when there is a large event in the news, by simply swiping left or right, is incredibly convenient.
The main reason why I subscribed to Ground News has been the convenience of seeing essential articles of the news around the world that I usually miss otherwise. Also, being able to see all the different new sources and to be able to compare them is really nice. Political bias being visible is also really useful to have.

I first decided to subscribe to Ground News because headlines often lack context and I love being able to see how the left and right put their spin on a story. I love how it lets me zoom out to the big picture and see the patterns over time.
The app is very easy to use. There’s nothing out there that I’ve seen that easily allows me to not only see the bias of coverage but also choose the sources I want to read in an easy way. I actually used to subscribe to NYTimes and WSJ to have access to 'both sides,' but this blows that strategy out of the water in a much cheaper way! This is a truly unique app. Amazing job!
I appreciate Ground News for its Blindspot section. Like most people, I have strongly held beliefs and think I'm completely right! LOL. Ground News allows me to tiptoe into the thought patterns of the 'Other Side' without too much irritation. I look at Ground News every day for just that purpose. It's a well-built bridge you have created.
One thing I really appreciate about Ground versus other news sources is how you emphasize stories that are reported dominantly by either wing and bring them to the front page. I am able to have a third person perspective of certain issues that I wouldn't otherwise have. Thank you all so much. As a citizen of the United States its damn near impossible to stay informed unilaterally.
I believe you are providing a great service, and I signed up because I was curious to know what stories I might be missing due to my own biases. The rejection of news that we don't like is a significant problem in our society. Absolutely loving everything that your site has to offer. It definitely makes it a lot easier to find bias and track news articles across a wide variety of sources.

Defeat news fatigue. Comparing multiple perspectives has never been easier.
It gives another level to news analysis that is difficult to come by. Being able to compare articles on the same topic from different sources was really cool, and seeing the bias each outlet gave as well.
I like the fact that I'm able to get a condensed report from multiple sources for when I have little time to spare, but I can go directly to the sourced materials to read in full. I must once again say keep up the fantastic work to you and your team.
I'm an investigative reporter at a major US news outlet, and people often ask me where I recommend they get their news. Ground News is my new answer. It's hands-down the best way for people who don't know who to trust to get reliable news coverage.
First of all, thank you for creating the type of news experience I’ve been looking for for years. I have always found it troubling that so many people only read news from sources that tell them exactly what they want to hear. Ground News makes it so easy to consume information from all sides and choose a centered, factual source for any given story. I think this has the potential to do a lot of good and lessen the growing divide.
I like Ground News as a triage tool for the overwhelming deluge of propaganda sliding around the globe masquerading as "news." I also can select filtering on stories the US media ignores or covers superficially.
It is very difficult gathering unbiased news nowadays. Ground News has been helpful at not only getting more unbiased news, but to better understand the bias of the news that I am seeing. With this, knowing that the truth is generally somewhere in the middle, it has helped my understanding of what is actually happening in the world.

Read beyond the noise of today’s hyper partisan news environment.
I have genuinely appreciated the features on Ground News and the ability to feel like I am not being pushed a bias from the source I am accessing. I subscribed to Ground News based on a podcast recommendation because unbiased news is something that concerns me, and I have not been disappointed so far. I love being able to compare the different slants from the new sources and the blindspot emails are something I enjoy sitting down to read when they come.
The first feature that made me subscribe to Ground was definitely the bias meter. It was always amazing being able to filter and browse news by the ideological leaning of the news outlets and allowed me to not only see the difference in reporting on similar events but also seek out more neutral and unbiased reporting.
The thing that turned me on to Ground was simply showing me the political lean to the articles. I like flipping between the articles and see how they both say the sky is blue but blame the other side for the color! Haha! The second item that Ground offers me is my local news that I really enjoy reading. It has become my one news source that I go to.

Be the first to know the latest political news updates with nuanced insights. Ground News keeps you informed about partisan debates and their implications.
In a world filled with pushed narratives and opportunistic special interests, you and your team have crafted an invaluable tool in sense making. In doing so, you have provided myself as well as countless others the opportunity to be able to see through the biased "spin" that our modern news organizations apply to what we read ... The app is a necessity for any free-thinking person with the need to stay informed.
I initially subscribed because it was an incredible tool for seeking the truth through political topics. It also allowed me to compare my own biases against opposing views in a quick and informative way.
When recent political stuff started popping up in the news and making me wonder if it was legitimate, I couldn't get the information quickly like Ground News provides it. I really like how Ground News tells how the source is left/center/right and whether it's "mixed factuality", etc. I find that invaluable. I especially like to see if only far right sources are reporting something versus a broad spectrum of sources.
I like the fact that I can see where on the spectrum the news is leaning and come to my own conclusions.

Ground News gives you tools to achieve...
I’ve been using Ground News since it came out. I wandered away a couple of times to try the next shiny news app, but in the end I find this the most useful. In a world where facts are often ignored and lies spread with ease, this is the kind of news aggregation I value. Plus, the developers are very responsive
I've dropped Facebook and Twitter from my daily reading years ago due to the polarization. I feel most of America is probably tired of it so having Ground show me the polarization before I'm essentially subjected to it is amazing.
