- On November 10, SpiceJet flight SG670 from Mumbai to Kolkata made an emergency landing at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata, after the pilot reported engine failure on approach, airport officials said.
- The pilot detected abnormal engine behaviour before descent and alerted Air Traffic Control, then declared a full emergency while coordinating with Kolkata airport authorities.
- Carrying more than 188 people, the aircraft prompted a full emergency response with Kolkata airport emergency response team deploying fire tenders, ambulances and medical personnel on standby.
- Airport officials withdrew the full emergency at 11.38 pm after the aircraft landed, noting the flight departed Mumbai at 9:07 pm instead of 7:10 pm.
- Last month an IndiGo flight 6E-6961 made an emergency landing at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi, with 166 passengers and crew safe while engineers inspected the plane.
