Halina Reijn is one of the more than five hundred new members of the Academy, the organization that awards the Oscars each year. Several other Dutch people such as Victoria Warmerdam, Trent, Nina Gantz and Margje de Koning have also been chosen, according to the list that was published on Thursday.
Ariana Grande, Brazilian Fernanda Torres, Puerto Rican Adria Arjona and Spanish director Albert Serra are among the 534 artists and executives of the film industry that the Hollywood Academy invited to join its organization.
