Apple to Ship 2.8 Million iPhone Units in India in Q2 Despite Slowdown

Apple is expected to register a double-digit growth of more than 20 percent in the second quarter of this year, shipping upwards of 2.8 million iPhone units. As per a report, this growth is despite the anticipated downturn in the Indian smartphone market due to seasonal slowdown as well as the ongoing heat waves in several key regions.

Apple’s iPhone suppliers in India have reportedly crossed the 20% domestic value addition (DVA) mark across variants.  Apple’s contract manufacturers include Foxconn, Tata Electronics, Dixon, Pegatron and Wistron (acquired by Tata Electronics), among others.
