One person is dead Friday after a vehicle crashed into the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon.

One dead, one injured from crash into Mattoon nursing home

One resident died and another was injured after a man driving a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder crashed into Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home, 201 Lafayette Ave. E. in Mattoon, Friday, according to Mattoon Police Chief Sam Gaines.  The driver of the vehicle was a white male who is being investigated for a DUI, said Gaines.
