ZEE5 Announces Seven-Language Slate with New Originals, Films and Franchise Revivals
The slate adds originals, returning franchises and films across Hindi and regional languages, plus live sports, AI and kids’ content, ZEE5 said.
- On Saturday, streaming platform ZEE5 unveiled its largest multilingual content slate to date, featuring new original series, blockbuster films, and returning franchises across seven languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bangla.
- Tejkarran Singh Bajaj, Business Head- Zee 5 India, said the platform aims to "back the bold" and "champion the unconventional," moving away from volume-chasing toward meaningful storytelling that shapes the entertainment landscape.
- To execute this strategy, ZEE5 partnered with prominent production houses including Jio Studios, Maddock Films, and 200 NOTOUT CINEMAS for Hindi content, alongside regional leaders like Thespian Films, Annapurna Studios, and Acropolis Entertainment.
- Beyond scripted entertainment, the company is scaling its ecosystem with live sports properties including FIFA and Bundesliga, plus AI-powered storytelling, animation, and kids' content featuring Shivlok Ke Kundakka Mandakka, Smart KidZ, Tales of Krishna, and Budbak 2.0.
- Raghavendra Hunsur, Chief Content Officer at ZEE, emphasized that "every title on this slate has been chosen with intent," aiming to spark conversations and shape culture across evolving viewer needs.
