After a test phase it is clear: The news magazine "heute-journal" gets a new broadcast location at ZDF.

For several years, the "today's journal" has been running at ZDF on Saturdays usually at 10.15 p.m., an hour later than usual. Now the station wants to prefer the station by one hour.

"Today's journal" will start earlier in the future: from January 2026, ZDF will be showing the news programme regularly at 9:45 p.m., thus responding to positive audiences from test runs.
