Several hundred people protested in front of the Slovak National Theatre (SND) in Bratislava on Wednesday against a gala concert by Russian opera singer Anna Netrebko. The protest was held under the slogan "We don't need Netrebko."
She was in Russian camp and is still on search lists today: Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, who became famous with the feminist collection "Pussy Riot". Now she is exhibiting her art in Berlin, which is often also political, as she talks about it.
Several hundred people came to protest against a concert by Russian opera diva Anna Netrebko. The singer is on the Ukrainian sanctions list. She was a long-time supporter of Vladimir Putin, and in 2014 she came to sing for Russian separatists in Donbas. 50 employees of the SND also opposed her performance.
At the We Don't Need Netrebko protest, which took place on April 30 in front of the SND building, several hundred people rejected a concert by Russian soprano Anna Netrebko and warned the audience who attended it at the SND opera house about the context of the event, which is Russia's ongoing war aggression in Ukraine.
