A new agreement between unions and employers in industry has been finalized. The agreement results in wage increases of 6.4 percent over two years. The agreement is expected to set the level for wages for millions of people in the rest of society, the five industrial unions write in a press release.

The parties in the industry have now agreed on a new two-year agreement – with wage increases of 6.4 percent. – We did not reach as far in the rate of wage increases as we had wished, but the overall nature of the agreements meant that we think it was an acceptable level, says Ulrika Lindstrand from Sveriges Ingenjörer.
