Finland: Several dead as two helicopters collide in mid-air crash

On May 17, 2025, around 12:30 p.m., two civilian helicopters registered abroad collided midair and crashed close to the Eura Airfield area in the western region of Finland.

The Satakunta Rescue Department announced shortly after 3:30 p.m. That emergency response efforts had been completed and that both helicopters were found roughly 100 meters apart in a wooded location.
Finnish authorities stated no military helicopters were involved, and the incident involved only civilian aircraft, with casualty details not yet disclosed.
