Tracee Ellis Ross to Be New Star of Broadway's 'Every Brilliant Thing'
Producers said Ross will star July 7 through Aug. 9 in the one-person play, which has already extended four times at the Hudson Theatre.

- Ross, known for Black-ish and Girlfriends, noted the play relies on audience participation to create a communal experience. The 53-year-old actress takes over after Mariska Hargitay concludes her run on July 5.
- Second Half Productions announced the casting alongside a fourth extension of the production. Macmillan praised the selection, stating her "quick-wit, intelligence and emotional depth" make Ross the "perfect fit" for the role.
- By partnering with Project Healthy Minds, the production aims to focus on "the glimmers of hope" during difficult times as the play explores depression rising among Black women in the US, per the National Library of Medicine.
