The President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Jomart Tokaev, announced an ambitious parliamentary reform. Ten articles of the Constitution could be amended. A working group had already been set up to prepare adjustments. At the first meeting of the working group, Tokaev, he said that the changes would affect about forty articles of the Basic Law. He said that it would be necessary to bring more than 50 laws and a dozen constitutional acts into line.
