The first smart fish crossing in the Czech Republic was installed in Otava in Písek

A unique monitoring system with an underwater camera is installed on the St. Wenceslas Weir on the Otava River. It comes from the workshop of experts from the Faculty of Fisheries and Water Protection of the University of South Bohemia. It recognizes which species of fish are passing through the crossing and can also count them. In addition, it will show exactly how fish migrate between individual sections of the river.
