WALNUT GROVE — The Renville County West softball team lost its season-opener Friday to Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove, 3-2. RRC/WWG scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Falcons’ Natasha Wahl singled on a line drive to right field, scoring Kennedy Carter.
