- Targeting the sub-$200 category, CMF focuses on India where over 42% of phones shipped in Q2 2025 fell in that range and the brand grew 85% year-over-year.
- The company is partnering with Optiemus to form a joint venture with a planned investment of more than $100 million over three years and create more than 1,800 jobs in India.
- To lead expansion, Nothing hired Himanshu Tondon, VP of Business for CMF, recently to isolate the budget line and scale with a $100 million+ planned investment.
- This move mirrors past spin-offs such as Xiaomi's POCO, Huawei's Honor and Oppo's Realme, builds on Nothing's over $200 million investment in India, and CMF will debut headphones on September 29.
