Slower start for limestone trade on Great Lakes | Pit & Quarry

Limestone shipments on the Great Lakes totaled 3.6 million tons in May, a 6.8 percent decline compared to a year ago. The May drop follows a 21.6 percent decrease the Lake Carriers’ Association (LCA) reported on for April. According to LCA, May’s loadings were above the month’s five-year average by 1.1 percent.
