The outbreaks of foot and mouth disease (FMD) in KwaZulu-Natal have not been successfully contained, with new cases recently detected in the Newcastle area.

Today, Sunday, the local government in Nineveh held a meeting with the governorate's health and veterinary departments and municipal departments to discuss the recording of foot-and-mouth disease cases in livestock in the Gogjali fields east of Mosul, following the death of 135 calves and the infection of 7 others.
