NASCAR's Clash Postponed to Wednesday Due to Historic Snowfall in North Carolina
- NASCAR announced the Cook Out Clash will take place Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, N.C.
- Heavy snow and a bomb cyclone blanketed Charlotte, N.C., with nearly a foot of snow, marking a top-five event, meteorologist Peter Mullinax said.
- Parking lots open 11:30 a.m. with off-site shuttle services beginning noon, and MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will broadcast the racing.
- NASCAR is coordinating with the City of Winston-Salem and North Carolina Department of Transportation to manage storm impacts, while Justin Swilling said the fans at The Madhouse are among the most passionate.
- Having moved from Los Angeles, the Clash is scheduled one week before Daytona 500 qualifying at Daytona International Speedway, its second running at Bowman Gray last year.
