NIGERIA, JUL 21 – UN Secretary-General António Guterres praised Buhari's dedication to peace, anti-corruption, and regional leadership during his six-decade service to Nigeria and Africa.
- On Tuesday, 15th July 2025, former President Muhammadu Buhari was buried in Daura according to Islamic rites, following his death in London at age 82.
- He had proclaimed June 12th as Nigeria’s real Democracy Day in 2019, symbolising selflessness, sacrifice and incorruptibility in public service like Nelson Mandela.
