Senegal is taking a strategic step in its quest for industrial autonomy with the upcoming establishment of a Mercedes Trucks truck and commercial vehicle assembly plant. A partnership was officially sealed on 1 July during an audience between Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Soenko and a Mercedes Trucks delegation led by Franziska Cusumano, Chairman of the Special Trucks Division of Daimler Truck AG.
