- Consequently, the third umpire ruled Jitesh not out based solely on Law 38.3, and although LSG captain Rishabh Pant withdrew the appeal, the decision remained unaffected.
- Following the incident, Jitesh remained unbeaten on 85 as RCB successfully chased 228 runs with eight balls to spare, marking their highest IPL run chase and securing a playoff spot.
