Lapeer K-9 Axel retires from service after 8 years

Lapeer County Sheriff K-9 Axel had his last day of work Monday, May 5, finishing almost eight years of service to the department. Axel, a German Shepherd, joined the department in the summer of 2017, the first K-9 for the county department in about a decade.
