In December 2024, the government was asked a question in Parliament on the issue of holes in the roof of the Taj Mahal and water dripping from the holes. Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat had told the Parliament that during three days of continuous heavy rain in Agra, a few drops of water were seen dripping from the roof of the main dome of the Taj Mahal.
