- Police and fire personnel spent three hours attempting to de-escalate the situation as the teenager stood on the cliff edge; witness Sanjay Jadhav told NDTV, "The parents and others tried very hard to make him understand, but he didn't listen."
- At around 1 p.m., Kunal allegedly jumped from the cliff; Murlidhar moved closer to save him but also fell, followed by Sangita, who reportedly jumped after witnessing her husband and son fall.
