Increases the number of disputes between governments and corporations: Moody’s
The number of cases of arbitration between foreign investors and nations is increasing, with at least 50 cases per year at the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) of the World Bank. The trend is particularly noticeable in Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean, as the sovereigns of these regions led the global case count in 2024, reports Moody’s.
