- Conferred in 2009, Mohanlal has stayed active with the Territorial Army and led relief efforts during the 2024 Wayanad floods through the Vishwashanti Foundation.
- Mohanlal told PTI that the ceremony included lunch with senior officers and seven Army Commanders, calling it a "great gesture from the fraternity" he has joined for 16 years.
- His association has had tangible effects, as Mohanlal said Kerala enlistment rose 40% after his honorary rank, while ADG PI said his recognition inspires youth and strengthens Army-citizen ties.
