- On October 25, 19-year-old Rahul Bharti died by suicide in Old Faridabad after consuming Sulphas tablets around 7 pm and dying during hospital treatment.
- Perpetrators hacked Rahul's phone weeks ago and used AI to create fake nude photos and videos of Rahul and his three sisters, while `Sahil`, the blackmailer as identified in chats, demanded Rs 20,000.
- Living in Baselwa Colony, Rahul was a second-year B.Com student at DAV College and had been visibly distressed for nearly two weeks, avoiding food and isolating himself, Manoj Bharti said.
- Police registered an FIR against Sahil, Neeraj Bharti and others at Faridabad Old police station and seized Rahul's mobile, with SHO Vishnu Prasad saying arrests are expected soon.
- Rahul's mother, Meena Devi, alleged Neeraj Bharti conspired after a six-month dispute, while officials called the case a serious example of AI misuse in cybercrime.
