- On Tuesday, two attempted home break-ins occurred in Encino, targeting Teddi Mellencamp's residence, followed by a second call at the 4500 block of Hayvenhurst Drive.
- In response to last week’s killings, as the Los Angeles Police Department said it would increase patrols between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. after the July 14 double murder of Robin Kaye and her husband in Encino.
- According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspects fled in a black BMW, while homeowners inside witnessed them run north toward Ventura Boulevard.
- The department announced, `We are grateful that everyone is unharmed,` and Los Angeles Police Department announced deployment of helicopter flyovers.
