Piastri Beats Verstappen to Belgium F1 Sprint Pole

On Saturday, Championship leader Oscar Piastri secured pole at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, outpacing Max Verstappen and Lando Norris.
Ahead of the sprint, Friday practice saw Piastri top both sessions, while Lando Norris—fresh from back-to-back wins—could not match his pace.
During the second segment, Piastri set a 1:40.510 lap, over four tenths clear, after barely avoiding Q2 elimination at Raidillon.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton spun out in Q1 and will line up 18th, while Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman qualified around sixth, flanking Carlos Sainz.
With pole, Piastri extends his championship lead to eight points after 12 of 24 rounds, and Saturday's sprint will set the grid for Sunday's Grand Prix.
