- On the night of July 25, 2025, in Guwahati's Dakhingaon area, Samiul was struck by an SUV reportedly driven by Kashyap while he was riding a two-wheeler.
- Samiul was initially admitted to Gauhati Medical College before being transferred to Apollo Hospital, where he passed away at 6 p.m. on Tuesday due to serious head injuries and fractured legs.
- Kashyap faces several allegations under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including culpable homicide , rash and negligent driving, and evidence tampering, while police have impounded her vehicle and are continuing to investigate the case.
