- On September 14, 2025, the YANGWANG U9X set a verified top speed of 496.22 km/h at ATP Automotive Testing Papenburg in Germany, driven by Marc Basseng, dethroning the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+.
- Built on BYD's upgraded architecture, the U9 Xtreme uses a quad-motor powertrain producing 2,977 hp, a 1,200-volt silicon carbide electrical architecture, and a BYD Blade Battery with 30C discharge.
- Limited to just 30 units, the U9 Xtreme launched earlier this month and recently set a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 6:59.157, with prices expected above $236,000.
