One person died in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 50 just west of Cañon City at about 10:25 a.m. Saturday. The highway was closed in both directions while the crash was investigated and cleared. UPDATE: SATURDAY 5/17/2025 4:39 p.m. (CAÑON CITY, Colo.) — According to CSP, the driver of the vehicle died after a rollover accident in which she was ejected from the car. CSP reported that the Nissan Murano was traveling westbound on Highway 50 when it drove off the right side of the road and hit a delineator post - a pole with a reflector on top that indicates the edge of the road.
