- German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Thursday that the government would soon identify those responsible for the incidents. Russia has dismissed accusations as "fabricated provocation."
- Merz warned that hybrid attacks could "take on a new dimension in the coming months" and the threat is "omnipresent." State interior ministers are considering a separate meeting on drone defense, potentially in Hamburg in September.
