Avalanche Descent in South Tyrol: Search for Tourers Discontinued for the Time Being

An avalanche took off Friday morning in the area of the Königsspitze in the Ortler area in South Tyrol and carried two Italian touring enthusiasts along. One of them was spilled.

At around 11.30 a.m., an emergency call was received during the mountain rescue of Sulden: avalanche descent on the Königsspitze, in the area of the eastern channel. According to first information, a climber was carried away and spilled about 300 metres of the snow.
