The unidentified skier was able to scramble to the side of the avalanche on Saturday while the snow boarder appears to almost surf the avalanche down the mountain. Both people escaped injury. A backcountry skier from Vermont died in February 2021 following an avalanche on Mt. Washington.

All occupants were uninjured and able to evacuate the building with help from fire crews. Tahoe Nordic used K9 units to search for possible victims Tuesday night, but so far no injuries have been reported.
