Ashley River Bridge closed one way due to malfunction

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A bridge that connects West Ashley to downtown Charleston is shut down one way on Sunday afternoon.  The Ashley River Bridge going into West Ashley from downtown is closed due to a maintenance issue, according to the Charleston Police Department.  Crews are on the scene working to fix the issue, but motorists should expect delays, the department said.

The Charleston Police Department said the Ashley River Bridge off Savannah Highway is clear after the bridge was temporarily shut down.
