As expected, D66 remains ahead of the PVV after the counting of postal votes received from abroad. Rob Jetten's party received significantly more postal votes than Geert Wilders', according to the preliminary results: 18.47 percent to 8.57 percent. With all ballots counted, the liberal party Democrats 66 (D66) led by Rob Jett has narrowly won the Dutch parliamentary election, the electoral commission in The Hague announced after counting ballots from abroad. The difference over the second-placed far-right Party for Freedom (PVV) of Geert Wilders is a mere 28,455 votes.
