Denmark's Defence Boost: Strategic Acquisition of Air Defence Systems
Denmark plans to purchase air defence systems from MBDA France, Germany's Diehl Defence, and lease from Norway's Kongsberg Gruppen to strengthen its military against future Russian threats. The 6 billion Danish crown investment ($919 million) expects its first deliveries by 2026 following evaluations of offers from ten countries.
The company has increased in value by 1.3 billion kroner because an analyst points out that it is involved in something in the defense sector. Amazing!
Denmark's new air defense systems can be "placed as needed throughout Denmark." But beyond Roskilde, Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen (V) did not elaborate on other locations.
One air defence system will be provided by the German company Diehl Defence, the second by the French MBDA France, and the third by Norwegian Kongsberg.
