In the framework of the combined exercise Estrella Austral 2025, a C-130J Super Hercules of the United States Air Force carried out launches of paratroopers of the Chilean Army in the area of Arenales, Antofagasta Region. The activity was part of a day airborne operation with complete equipment (SDCE), which had the participation of troops of the Special Mountain Group and the Battalion of Paratroopers No. 1 “Pelantaru”.
