One student died and another remains critically injured after a shooting at Kentucky State University; authorities arrested a non-student suspect and secured the campus lockdown.
- On Tuesday, Kentucky State University reported a deadly shooting outside Whitney M. Young Jr. Hall, killing one student and critically wounding another; a non-student suspect was taken into custody.
- Frankfort Police Department said the shooting appeared tied to a personal dispute and described it as an "isolated incident" near Whitney M. Young Jr. Hall, the second in four months in the area of south campus.
- Responding to an "active aggressor" call at about 3:35 p.m., Frankfort Police Department, KSU Campus Police and Franklin County Sheriff's Office secured the scene, issued a BRED Alert, and placed campus on lockdown.
