- On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Dehradun to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects worth more than Rs 8,140 crore.
- On the 25th anniversary, the state celebrated its foundation day as Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings lauding Uttarakhand's development and Home Minister Amit Shah also posted greetings on X.
- Projects include the Song Dam and Jamarani Dam, with the Song Dam Drinking Water Project supplying 150 MLD and Dehradun water coverage for 23 zones, all within Rs 8,140 crore.
- The programme will see direct farmer support released as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release Rs 62 crore to more than 28,000 farmers under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana and launch a commemorative postal stamp.
- Uttarakhand was carved out on November 9, 2000, becoming India's 27th state and emerging as a hub for tourism, education and industrial development while preserving cultural and natural heritage.
