During the European Council summit on June 26, EU leaders discussed the 18th package of sanctions against Russia, but the vote on its adoption has not yet taken place.

The European Council is meeting in Brussels, a summit of EU leaders; one of the main issues on the agenda is the tightening of sanctions against Russia; the European Commission has previously submitted the 18th package of sanctions, which provides for additional restrictions in particular in the field of energy; Hungary and Slovakia, however, now state that they are not ready to support it.
The EU failed to approve the 18th package of sanctions against Russia, reported at a press conference at the EU summit in Brussels to the head of the European Council, Antonio Costa, who said that work on the adoption of the new package was "in progress." In turn, the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Layen expressed confidence that the work would be completed "in the near future".
The European Union summit ends without an agreement on new sanctions against Russia. Business increasingly demands digital sovereignty, and on the real estate market, the National Bank of Poland notices real declines in housing prices.
