There will be no transitional measures for the tax benefits that will be reduced or abolished this year. This was stated by Minister of Finance Jan Jambon (N-VA) in the consumer programme ‘WinWin’ on Radio2. For example, gifts from 2025 will now only be tax deductible for 30 percent instead of 45 percent. The law on this still has to be approved, but will come into effect retroactively from 1 January of this year.
