The Mexican government announced on Friday, July 10, that it would be filing a lawsuit in the United States following the death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo during an ICE operation in Houston, Texas. The 52-year-old Mexican, who had lived in the United States for 35 years, was shot and killed by agents, even though he was not the intended target of the operation. Mexico will notably be suing companies contracted by ICE to manage detention centers.
