The US Army, in coordination with the Nigerian authorities, has carried out several air strikes in the country against the jihadist insurgency in recent months.
The US announced it has withdrawn a large portion of its troops deployed in Nigeria. Speaking on the matter, General Anderson stated that the joint counter-terrorism operations with Nigeria had achieved their objectives.
