Great Britain is planning a reform of the asylum system to speed up the processing of applications for appeals by rejected applicants. On the weekend there were protests in several cities in front of asylum shelters.
The police were forced to separate demonstrators and counter-demonstrators at a time of tension over migration policies.
Interior Minister Yvette Cooper said in a statement this Friday that appeals were "totally unacceptable" and announced the creation of an independent body to assist the courts.
