- On Saturday, the United Nations estimated that up to 6.76 million people may have been affected by Venezuela's twin earthquakes, which killed 920 people and left more than 50,000 missing since June 24th.
- Devastating twin tremors of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 struck on Wednesday, causing entire buildings to crumble in La Guaira, north of Caracas, as the International Organization for Migration assessed the disaster's humanitarian scope.
