CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, JUL 24 – UChicago Medicine stops all gender-affirming care for minors citing federal funding risks amid national crackdown that has led at least nine hospitals to restrict such treatments.
- Kaiser Permanente intends to pause gender-affirming surgeries for patients under 19 starting August 29 due to efforts by the federal government to target providers of such care.
- Kaiser said it will continue to provide other gender-affirming treatments besides surgery to transgender adolescents.
