🇪🇸 Spain: RTVE Releases Rules for Benidorm Fest 2026
- RTVE has released the guidelines for Benidorm Fest 2026, Spain’s national competition to select its entry for Eurovision 2026, with the application period starting on June 5, 2025.
- The edition will be the fifth consecutive year using Benidorm Fest, with 16 to 20 acts chosen based on song quality to compete in two semi-finals and a final in early 2026.
- Voting will include 50% national jury, 25% demoscopic panel from the Spanish population, and 25% public vote via RTVE Play app, with a creative team overseeing stage production.
- The winning entry will receive €150,000 gross, split as €100,000 for performers and €50,000 for songwriters, while entries must meet nationality and language requirements.
- Benidorm Fest 2026 aims to improve festival growth and preparation time for artists ahead of Eurovision’s 70th edition, to be held in Austria in May 2026.
